My Everyday Makeup Essentials

What are your everyday makeup essentials? I pretty much wear makeup every day and although there's nothing I love more than putting on false lashes and trying out every single shade in my eyeshadow and contour palettes, there simply isn't enough time at 7.30am when you're rushing to get ready for work. This is why I rely on these products that I know I love to create a simple day to day look.

FACE

First things first, the base. After my skincare routine, which you can find here, I start

my makeup by applying foundation. My favourite for everyday wear has to be my MAC studio fix fluid  - it's just enough coverage without being too heavy and I also find it to be very long-wearing which is what I want if I'm going to be wearing it all day. If I'm wanting a bit extra coverage for spots, dark circles etc then I'll use a concealer, my go to is the Collection lasting perfection concealer - so good and so cheap! I then use the translucent 'Lock it' setting powder by Kat Von D to give more of a flawless look and set my foundation & concealer into place for the day. I've been using the Morphe brow cream in 'Mocha'  for my brows - I way prefer using a cream/gel over a brow pencil even though it takes me a bit longer - worth it! Then it's time for the Charlotte Tilbury 'Instant look in a palette' which is the best most used palette I have ever owned! I use the bronzer first for a light contour followed by the lighter blush and then use the highlight on my nose/ cupids bow and tops of my cheeks. I absolutely love this palette and can't imagine my makeup bag without it - it has all the essentials in one little palette, each pan is numbered as a step by step making it so easy and quick to use!

EYES

I keep my eye makeup very simple day to day. Again, I normally use the Charlotte Tilbury 'Instant look in a palette'. I use the lightest eyeshadow shade (1 - Brighten) from the palette all over the lid and then apply the brown shade (2- Enhance) in the crease. I then like to add some eyeliner, to create a thin cat flick, nothing too dramatic but it really makes a difference! For this I've been using the Hyper Precise All Day Matte eyeliner by Maybelline. I then finish off with Mascara. Any mascara from Benefit, I love. I'm currently using their Bad Gal Bang Mascara. 

LIPS

I like to keep my everyday makeup very natural looking, so I almost always wear a nude lip - you just can't go wrong! I've been wearing this Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipstick in the shade 'Pure Hollywood'. It's the perfect shade for me and it lasts all day so there's no need to worry about re-applying!
